Vivian Ernestine Underwood

Vivian Ernestine Underwood, 70, of Griffin, died May 21, 2013. She was a long time PBX Operator and long time pianist at Willingham Baptist Church, as well as a member of the "New Gospel Travelers". She is survived by sons: Thomas (Misty) Underwood and Sam (Renee) Underwood, both of Griffin; Daughters: Angela Young, Griffin, Paula Underwood, Griffin and Tammy Johnson of Appling. A sister, Jane Dill, Griffin. A Special Grandson and Loving Caretaker, Matthew Underwood, along with other grandchildren and great grandchildren. The visitation will be Friday, May 24th from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Underwood will lie in state Saturday, May 25th at Willingham Drive Baptist Church prior to the funeral service from 10:30 a.m. until services at 12:00. Reverend Sam Underwood and Reverend Alan Burns will officiate. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta.
