Vera Eason Gresham

Vera Eason Gresham, age 104, of McDonough, formerly of Hapeville, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014. She was born in Griffin, Georgia on October 23, 1909. Her parents, Minnie Lee and John J. Eason along with her husband, Everett V. Gresham and a daughter, Charlotte Stembridge, preceded her in death. She lived most of her life in Hapeville, Georgia, and had been employed by Rich's Department Store. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Louise Gresham; six grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 23rd in our chapel, with Reverend Joe Durham officiating. Interment will follow at College Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Hapeville First Baptist Church, 612 College Street, Hapeville, GA 30354, or to your favorite charity. Visitation will be Tuesday for one hour prior to the service at Donehoo-Lewis Funeral Home, Hapeville. 404-761-2171
