Kem Beasley

–

Riverdale, Georgia

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Kem Wade "KB" Beasley, a charismatic, humble, and reliable man. Born on January 15, 1965, in Winchester, TN, and recently of Riverdale, Georgia, by way of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Kem spent his life driving trucks, his passion beyond just a job. His love for the open road was only rivaled by his love for food, often stating, "Life is a highway, and food is the fuel that drives us." He was indeed a foodie who relished every morsel and tried every cuisine that crossed his path.

Kem was a man of many talents and a heart as vast as the highways he traveled. He was a smart and dedicated truck driver, respected in his field of logistics for his unyielding reliability. In his youth, he was a notable baseball player during his elementary and middle school years, a testament to his determination and spirit. He spent his earlier years in Toledo, OH, before finally settling in Riverdale, Georgia, where he lived for 23 years. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." Kem lived by these words, always putting his family first, keeping his truck in top condition, and never missing a workout.

Kem is survived by his loving mother, Maudiette Hollis, his cherished daughters Kymisha Beasley (Her mother Teresa Singletary) and Jewell Huntley (Her Mother Risa Huntley), grandson Jacob Barnhill, sister Nikkol Beasley and brothers Paul Winton and Joshua Beasley. Cousins Vincent Hardison, Jackie Moore, Chris Moore, Jimmy Smith, Daniel (Rochell) Smith, Janice (Henry) Kittrell. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Beasley. He leaves behind a host of friends, and family. The life of Kem Beasley was a journey filled with memorable moments, love, and laughter. His engaging personality and unique qualities touched the lives of many and earned him a special place in the hearts of those who knew him.

We encourage those who knew Kem to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page. Your stories and pictures will serve as a lasting tribute to the life of a man who made every mile count.
