Jerry Donald Saxton, Sr., died Friday, September 13, 2024. Jerry was a retired Chief Assessor for the Bibb County Tax Assessor's Office. Preceded in death by a grandson, Thomas Saxton, and a great grandson, Julian Saxton, he is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Knight Saxton; their children, Jerry Saxton, Jr., and Dawn Saxton Knight; grandchildren, Jolie Knight, James Saxton, Jamie Saxton; and 7 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 18th at Sherwood Memorial Park, with Mr. Bobby Knight officiating.
