Jerry Francis Burlingame

Jerry Francis Burlingame, 70, of Stockbridge, GA, passed away on April 22, 2021, in his home, as he had wished. He had suffered a lengthy illness of cancer and heart disease.

Jerry was born on February 22, 1951, to the late Fred Lee Burlingame and Frances Marie Burlingame Trammell . He grew up in East Point, GA, attended Headland High School, and continued to learn welding, and was a mechanic, working on automobiles, boats, and RV's. His hobbies, when younger, were scuba diving, and later became a huge fan of NASCAR.

Jerry lost his precious wife, Donna Gulley Burlingame in 1987. He is survived by his children, Ronnie (Maria) Burlingame of Lakeland, FL, and Dorothy (Jerry) Burlingame Still, and a grandson, J.J. Still, all of Stockbridge, GA; a sister, Linda (Jim) Ginn; nieces, a nephew, and many other family members.

Jerry was blessed with best friends and neighbors, especially Barbara and Mike Kenyon, who helped him as his health declined, and whom he enjoyed spending fun times, and laughter with them.

A small, private graveside memorial will be held, at a later date, at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association at www.americanheart.org or the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org
