Jean C. Rhodes

Jean Carol Rhodes was born on February 4, 1961 in Kinston, North Carolina. In 1968, as a young child along with her mom and brother, she migrated to New Jersey. She graduated in 1978 from Westside High School

After high school she worked for Essex County College for many years before moving to Georgia to work for various companies like Atlanta Business Chronicle, Belca Food Service, Olive Garden just to name a few. She was a member of Divine Faith Ministries in Jonesboro, Georgia, where she served on the Joseph Pantry Ministry until she was no longer able to.

Jean loved her family and any excuse to get together with them. She loved hosting Christmas dinner and welcomes anyone who would like to come. Jean really loved her grandchildren and watching them grow up. She was super supportive to her children and the biggest cheerleader to her grandchildren. Jean Rhodes will be remembered by two children, Senetra (KoHaleth) Knight and Denzel (Sharita) Rhodes; eight adoring grandchildren, Kayla Knight, Shaki Shamburger, Kaylen Rhodes, SeiAna Pearman-Pullen, Senera Knight, Jordan Rhodes, Nyla Rhodes, and Samyah Knight; brother Ronald Davis; and a beloved life partner, James Hamilton.

Viewing will be held from 6 PM - 9 PM on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Donehoo Lewis Funeral Home 736 S. Central Ave Hapeville, GA. Final Rites will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the St Peter Church of Christ, 602 J P Harrison Blvd Kinston, NC: Viewing 12 - 1 PM; Funeral Service 1 PM. Interment Mills Memorial Gardens. Please keep the family in prayer.
