James C. Haynie, Sr.

James C. Haynie, Sr., 82, of Union City, died Thursday, December 14, 2017. Jim was a Mason and former Worshipful Master, as well as a former Worthy Patron in the Order of Eastern Star. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Springer Haynie, in December of last year. He is survived by his children, James & Therese Haynie, Jr., and Jodi Nave; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Nave, Kimberly Nave, Emily Haynie, Jacob Haynie, Danielle & Chris Watson, Darin Friedman, Dena Williams, Matt Williams; and a great granddaughter Evie Watson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 18th at Lester Road Christian Church, with remains placed in state at 10:00 a.m. Minister Tony Sullivan will officiate, and Hapeville Lodge #590 will lead the Masonic Rites. Interment will follow at The Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 until 5 p.m. at Donehoo-Lewis Funeral Home, Hapeville. 404-761-2171
