George Francis Gaenssley

George Francis Gaenssley, Jr., 80, of Atlanta, formerly of East Point, died Saturday, May 22, 2021. George was a retired Auto Flight Analyst with Delta Air Lines. He was preceded in death by a son, George Michael Gaenssley, and is survived by his wife, Nancy "Nan" Hovsepian Gaenssley; a son and daughter in law, Ian & Amanda Gaenssley; a granddaughter, Olive Penelope Gaenssley; nieces, nephews, and other family members. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 27th in our chapel, with Reverend Alex Stroud officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org, or to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at www.choa.org. The family will receive friends Thurdsay afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour at Donehoo-Lewis Funeral Home, Hapeville. 404-761-2171
