Riverdale, Georgia
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carl Dell Perry, who departed this world on August 26, 2026. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on August 22, 1955, Carl spent his formative years there before moving to East Point, Georgia and eventually settling in Riverdale, Georgia. He was a devoted son to his parents, James Williams and Ethel Perry, who preceded him in death.
Carl was a dedicated and reliable individual, known for his impressive dressing sense and diligent work ethic. He spent a significant part of his career in the construction industry, working as a foreman. His supportive nature and commitment to his work left a lasting impact on all who worked alongside him. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. His family was paramount in his life, reflecting the words of Richard Bach who said, "The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life."
He is survived by his son, Cardell Jr., and his grandchildren Terrell Perry, Rashad Perry, Cardell III, Madison Perry, and Malia Perry. They will forever remember him as a pillar of strength and a source of endless love and support. Carl's legacy will continue to live on in their hearts and memories.
A memorial service in honor of Carl Perry will be held at Donehoo-Lewis Funeral Home, 736 South Central Avenue, Hapeville, Georgia, 30354, on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 10:00 pm EDT. We invite those who knew and loved Carl to attend and to celebrate his life and legacy.
